Elmhurst dance school 10th gala

The High Sheriff was very happy to accept an invitation to the Elmhurst 10th Anniversary Gala in their school base in Edgbaston. Before the gala began he was encouraged to view the range or art in the building by the students who dance, design and draw! IMG_7409

Elmhurst Principal Jessica Wheeler gallantly  introduced the great work of the school and the 10th anniversary Gala while very near her due date – well done Jessica and and good luck with your upcoming new baby. IMG_7452Jessica was followed by Robert Parker,

IMG_7424the artistic director who celebrated the young dancers from all ages in the cast and introduced the night’s finale Flowers of the Forest specially choreographed by BRB’s David Bintley.

What a great night to witness with a full house of parents  and supporters. Elmhurst is the oldest vocational dance school in the UK – its vision is to provide a world renowned centre of excellence for the training and education of classical ballet dancers for Birmingham Royal Ballet and other national and international dance companies.
