The High Sheriff was honoured to Launch the Little Hoot at the Waterhall Gallery in central Birmingham. The Little Hoot is the little brother and sister of the Big Hoot. The Little Hoot has touched the lives of 25,000 children across 120 schools, spanning all 4 key stages – how good is that!
Little Hoot ‘parliaments’ are on display from today in 18 locations across the city.
AND … Look out for the The Little Hoot Trail Map.
Photographs of all designs will be individually represented in a special pullout edition of The Birmingham Mail .Over 50 schools have engaged with the Arts Award, and will be receiving one as a result of the creativity demonstrated on The Big Hoot.
Follow the trail from the City Centre to Sutton Coldfield; Winson Green to Bournville and many places in between and enjoy beautiful open spaces; inspiring buildings and Birmingham’s cultural heritage along the way.
All the giant owls have been sponsored by companies and organisations and at the end of the trail, they will be auctioned to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
2015 is the year of Birmingham, celebration / diversity / growth / creativity / community and the little hoot has captured that brilliantly with so many young people showing how good they can be – brilliant Birmingham.
